Wild at Heart star Stephen Tompkinson embarked on the journey of a lifetime across the African continent in a hot air balloon and his thrilling journey, which was inspired by Jules Verne’s first novel, Five Weeks in a Balloon, saw him travel from coast to coast visiting Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Botswana, completing his journey in Namibia on the Skeleton Coast. His route took him past some exotic sights such as Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, and over Victoria Falls.
The final programme in the ITV series saw him encountering crocodiles, elephants, vultures and comes across a baboon who thinks he is a goat.
